circa 1866, with 3in. swivelling barrels one flat marked 'AMERICAN ARMS CO. BOSTON MASS' and on the other flat 'WHEELER'S PAT. OCT 21. 1865-JUNE 19. 1866', plated brass frame with sheath trigger, squared butt with two piece rosewood grips
Provenance: This pattern of pistol was produced 1866 to 1878 in .22, .32, .38 and .41 rimfire with a total production of 5,000
